FPS Economy distinguishes SNC/VOF and SComm/CommV companies, for which a private deed suffices. Its checklist includes a financial plan, a bank certificate for cash contributions and an auditor’s report for contributions in kind. Translating a foreign company’s articles does not replace these Belgian incorporation steps.

Articles and signing authority: which documents should you compare?
Link to this sectionThe incorporation deed describes representation, including management bodies, their powers and how those powers are exercised. To prepare translation, record the exact company name, legal form and document references. If representatives or articles have changed, send those documents to the office too and ask which require translation. Comparing documents does not replace legal verification of signing authority.
